D: »(Naziv za) postopek v elektrosnki sintezi zvoka v katerem se razen višine in intenzitete modulira tudi zvočno barvo. Lahko govorimo tudi o modulaciji zvokov(n)ega spektra.« (‹EH›, 161–162)

KM: »sprememba amplitud nihajev … ne deluje le na spremembo intenzitete, temveč tudi na spremembo zvokov(n)e barve.« (‹EH›, 162)

KR: KM je v določenem nasprotju z D. Modulacija zvočne barve namreč pomeni isto kot katera koli elektronska modulacija, ker vsaka izmed njih vpliva na spremembo zvokov(n)ega spektra in posledično tudi zvokov(n)e barve. V ‹EH›, 319–320, je navedeno tudi modulacija zvokov(n)ega spektra, ki seveda pomeni isto.
