BARBARIZEM

NEM: Barbarismus.

ET: Grš. barbarismós = uporaba tujega govora, napake v lastnem govoru, iz bárbaros = negrški, tuj (‹KLU›, 60).

D: »(V nasprotju s primitivizmom) je barbarsko tisto, kar ostaja, tisto divje, tisto, kar se upira razvoju, kar nasprotuje kulturi, kar se ji upira.« (‹EIN›, 446; geslo Nova glasba.)

KM: Ta pojem ima (tako kot primitivizem) značilen pomen v Einsteinovem nazoru o glasbi 20. stoletja (gl. BLUMRÖDER 1980: 5). Delno je upravičen, če se recimo spomnimo skladbe, kot je Bartókov Allegro barbaro (1911), čeprav jo lahko – kot tudi npr. vse skladbe Stravinskega iz tega obdobja – uvrstimo tudi v dinamizem oz. primitivizem. Te tri pojme lahko razumemo kot sopomenke, kljub razlikam, pri katerih vztraja D v ‹EIN›.
